The Property
Refreshed and updated house located on 3 acres of wooded dunes with 200+ feet of private frontage on Kangaroo Lake. Bauers Lodge is your private oasis that sits on top of the dunes with spectacular views of Kangaroo Lake, a private sandy beachfront, and modern amenities that make it perfect for multi-generational family retreats. It is conveniently located to downtown Bailey's Harbor and an easy drive to Door County's most popular towns - Sister Bay, Fish Creek, Ephraim and Egg Harbor.

The House

Bauers Lodge is a 6-bedroom home centered around a spacious great room for family gatherings. The great room has all windows facing Kangaroo Lake and includes a large living area with a Door County wood-burning fireplace, an 8-seat dining area and an open kitchen with center-island that seats 4. The lower-level features a large family room with comfortable seating, a game table for activities and a Wisconsin-style bar area.. The Lodge sleeps up to 13 and includes:

The Space
Situated on the top of a bluff on the highest point overlooking Kangaroo Lake, Bauers Lodge offers renters the exclusive use of the whole house set to the west and the wooded forest of Meridian County Park to the east. Bauers Lodge is filled with updated and modern conveniences including new carpet, flooring, paint, Wi-Fi (satellite dish) and Air Conditioning, all while keeping its classic interior with Door County fireplace! The bedrooms have new plush beds and most include a desk for remote work, if you can't fully escape. The open kitchen and living room soak in sunlight all throughout the day, with quiet morning views of sunrise and spectacular evening views of sunset. From the patio, stairs lead up to a beautiful deck that wraps around most of the house. The kitchen deck is wide open with a picnic table to enjoy your morning coffee as the sun peaks through the woodlands. The deck then wraps around to the west side of the house, welcoming you to sit in comfortable outdoor chairs overlooking beautiful sunsets upon Kangaroo Lake. A large patio functions as an outdoor extension of the family room for indoor/outdoor gatherings.

Take the steps along the driveway from Bauers Lodge down to the lakefront where our private beach steps into soft sand with 50+ feet of shallow waters, perfect for wading in Adirondack chairs while watching young ones play or enjoying the crystal-clear water. The beach amenities include a firepit, ample seating and a small beach hut for your use where water toys and a large cooler are stored while you spend the day at the lake.

When you arrive expect to find the house pristinely cleaned. Freshly laundered linens, bath towels and beach towels, provided for the convenience of guests. While you settle in, enjoy coffee from the kitchen bar with a starter supply of coffee and tea. In the refrigerator awaits a 6-pack of Spotted Cow, proudly brewed by New Glarus and only in available in Wisconsin.

Guest Access
Full exclusive 100% usage of the house and 3-acre property. Our private drive gives easement to the property owner to our west. This means, you may see occasional comings and goings of this owner. Please respect his privacy and stay only within our property limits.
